No it is not illegal to carry a Swiss Army knife, concealed in a pocket or bag. The Swiss Army knife is considered a tool, as in 'tool of the trade'. A Tradesman or person, may legally carry the tools of his trade, including knives, in public. If stopped and searched by the police in UK and a Swiss Army knife is found on the person, it is very unlikely the police will claim it to be a weapon. Such an accusation is very unlikely to stand up in court, even with a crap lawyer running your defence.

You can use it to make Tabbouli, YES...but put it away (the Swiss Army knife I mean, not that other thing) and open the door to greet your guests without it or else you will scare them
